Fellow Archers,

The next monthly meeting of Mid-Del Archers is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM on November 19, 2006. The meeting place will be the Fox Hunters Clubhouse. The clubhouse will open @ 6:30.

Mid-Del Archers Officers for the 2006/2007 year are:

Kevin Slack has accepted the responsibility of Range Captain. Please give Kevin your support as he will need to reinvent portions of the 3-D range this year.

Logging of the timber at Eastern Shore Fox Hunters will happen around the first of 2007. The effect on Mid-Del Archers 3-D range is significant but not crippling. Woods being used to set up targets to the second deer stand will not be affected so at least half of the course will remain unchanged. The remainder of the course will be set in the logged area.

The Effect on the DOT range will be greater. Portions of the useable, front 14 target, range will require dismantling. The bow hangers and target frames on the back range will be totally removed and stored.
Help is necessary on this range effort during December. Call David Slack at 359-4671 for details.

The 2007 shoot schedule is complete. Look for it on the club website or pick up a copy at the next 3-D shoot.

We are instituting a competition beginning January 2007 called “Shoot for the Loot”. It is a year long event and the best shooter wins $250.00. All shooters are eligible and a handicap system will be used. Check out www.Mid-DelArchers.com website for details.

Is there anyone out there who understands computer graphics? We are looking for someone to redo our club LOGO. If interested call David Slack @ 359-4671 for details.

We are going to schedule instructor certification classes for early 2007. Would all members interested in becoming certified archery instructors contact David Slack either by e-mail, mrarcher41@aol.com, or at 359-4671 by December 15, 2006. Information needed at this time is your name and address so I can move forward to schedule the classes. The course will be held on a weekend and will take about 8 instruction hours. The objective is to certify a few member archers so we can start a basic archery training course at Mid-Del Archers sometime during 2007.
