Fellow Archers,

The next monthly meeting of Mid-Del Archers is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM on June 18, 2006. The meeting place will be the Fox Hunters Clubhouse. The clubhouse will open @ 6:30.

The June 3-D shoot hosted a total of 32 archers. They shot 30 3-D targets and still had time for the races. Thanks to those members that assisted in breaking down the range and returning targets to the storage shed.

The saga of the McKenzie Target replacements has finally come to an end. The missing target, bedded deer, and the midsection, sneak deer, were delivered on Thursday June 9, 2006. An inspection disclosed the targets were acceptable.

Critter targets (bobcat, skunk, raccoon, and alert turkey) have been received along with ASA scored Inserts. These targets were utilized for the first time at the June 3-D event. They are a welcome addition to our target inventory. Look for the critters the next time you shoot at Mid-Del Archers.

Jim Eastman has obtained an “ECHO” power blower to clear the 3-D range paths and target lanes. The blower does an excellent job and pretty much eliminates the need for rakes. Perhaps the practice range will now be cleared of leaves.

Roy Sturgill has cleared the DOT Range Paths of leaves and loose debris. Thanks Roy, now the yardage markers can be seen.

“Lowe’s of Dover” has provided the materials necessary to modify/replace the DOT range target back stops and repair the bow hangers. Paint to repaint the yardage markers was also provided. Work has begun on the bow hangers. Hopefully, a work party can be organized to complete the upgrading of the Dot range.

One last item, for those of you who have e-mail last month was not the last month you will receive the snail mail news letter. This month is due to membership renewal which comes up in June.

Please respond to the enclosed membership renewal as soon as you receive it as current membership expires on June 30. I will get your new membership cards to you immediately upon receipt of your dues. Thank you for your co operation in this important matter.
