Fellow Archers,

Club member participation at the monthly meetings has been poor. Decisions related to operation of the club are being made by the same few people who regularly attend the meetings. It is your club and it will be only as good as the membership want it to be. Therefore, plan on attending the next meeting of the Mid-Del Archers. The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM on June 20, 2005. The meeting place will be the Fox Hunters Clubhouse. The clubhouse will open @ 6:30. See you there.

30 shooters participated in the June 3-D shoot, a good turnout considering we were competing with the NASCAR race at Dover Downs. Thanks to those who came out to support the range setup and teardown. Remember your help is appreciated even if you can only support either setup or teardown of the range.

Participation in the second ASA Qualifier was about the same as for the first qualifier. There are less then 20 archers qualified to compete in the Delaware State ASA Federation Championship which is scheduled for July 9^{th and 10th... 30 targets will be set out for your enjoyment. If ASA competition is not to your liking, come out and shoot the course for relaxation.}

Thanks to Wayne Moore, Mid-Del Archers has a new supply of 3-D scoring cards. We now have score cards with colors to match the yardage marker colors and as has been reported previously yardage markers are available to support all ASA classes.

Response to the membership renewal has been slow. Remember to remain a member in good standing; membership dues are required on or before July 1, 2005. Thank you to those members who responded with membership renewals. New membership cards will be issued as dues are received.

Registration for the Delaware Senior Olympic Games (Archery) has begun. Those who submit their registration before July 15th receive a $7.00 discount. Registration forms can be picked up at the Modern Maturity Center (Senior Olympics Office) in Dover or give me (Dave Slack) a call at 302 284-2322 and I will get registration materials to you.

An effort is underway to refurbish the arrow and reinstall it in front of the Foxhunters building. Look for it soon.

The next Mid-Del shoot is a Youth shoot scheduled for June 12, 2005. Registration is from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M. Cost is $5.00 and archers must be accompanied by an adult. Membership support for this shoot is desired. The support is needed along the range in the form of guidance for the young archers. If you can spend a couple of hours for this event it would be appreciated. Plan on arriving by 11:45 so that assignments can be made prior to the start of the shoot.

Membership assistance is needed to maintain the club ranges. If you have some time to spend at your archery club, please check the bulletin board at the practice range. Feel free to accomplish any task posted. Remember if you have to purchase materials to complete a task keep your receipts so reimbursement can be made. If your anticipated expenditures will exceed $25.00, call me at 284-2322 before making the purchase.
