Fellow Archers,
The next meeting of the Mid-Del Archers is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM on February 20, 2005. The meeting place will be the Fox Hunters Clubhouse. The clubhouse will open @ 6:30. See you there.
The second 3-D shoot for 2005 was a great success. 32 archers completed the 30 target 3-D course. Weather was warm and sunny with a small amount of snow on the ground. Numerous club members assisted in the range setup and teardown. Thanks guy’s for your assistance.
Lois and Vicki controlled the kitchen and served up some great chili in addition to hot dogs and hamburgers. Drinks available to complement the food were water, soda, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. Great job Lois and Vicki, thanks for the support.
Happenings since the last newsletter:
* The wooden and nail bow hangers have been replaced with dark grey PVC pipe at two tree stands and bow hangers have been added to the third tree stand.
* Thanks to Roy Sturgill. A target face pasting session was held in the clubhouse. Target faces are available for both the Dot and Practice ranges.
* A revised Task List has been posted in the bulletin board listing recognized tasks.
* A notice has been placed on the bulletin board advising those who use the practice range that it is for member use only.
* Mid-Del Archers has been selected to host the Delaware State senior Olympic Archery Competition for 2005.
There is still much to do and your assistance is needed. If you have some time to spend at your archery club, please check the bulletin board at the practice range. Feel free to accomplish any task posted. Remember if you have to purchase materials to complete a task keep your receipts so reimbursement can be made. If your anticipated expenditures will exceed $25.00, call me at 284-2322 before making the purchase.
