    Article I: Membership:

    Section A. Membership Types

    Standard member

    Standard member- family

    Social member

    Junior member

    Lifetime member

    Senior member

    Section B. Definition of membership types:

    Standard:

    a. Includes all adults, 18 or older, who will be eligible to hold office.

    b. Is entitled to vote at all general membership meetings.

    c. Immediate family members will be included under Standard-Family upon payment of dues.

    (1). Upon reaching age 18, individual shall pay standard membership dues.

    d. Is subject to member responsibilities defined by Standing Rules.

    2. Standard member – Family

    a. Includes immediate family members and excludes children over 18 years of age.

    (1). Immediate family member must apply for Standard membership upon attaining the age of 18 years.

    b. Must be 18 years old or older and be eligible to hold office.

    c. Is entitled to vote at all general membership meetings.

              d. Is subject to member responsibilities defined by Standing      Rules.

    3. Social:

    a. Shall have no voting privileges, nor shall be eligible to hold office.

    b. Shall be 18 years of age or older..

    c. Will be exempt from other responsibilities of regular members..

    4. Junior:

    a. An individual 15 to 17 years of age inclusive.

    b. Has no voting privileges nor is eligible to hold office.

    c. Under age 16 shall be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    5. Lifetime:

    a. Any member who holds office for four consecutive terms shall be exempt from any further dues and shall be accorded the title of Lifetime member.

    b Any person who has been a Standard Member as defined in Article I for 20 years or more shall be accorded the title of Lifetime member

    c Upon payment of ten times the standard membership dues, a member may be nominated by general membership for Lifetime member status.

    (1). Nomination approval by a majority of members in attendance is required.

    d. All members accorded the title of Lifetime Member shall be accorded the same voting and office privileges as described for Standard Members in Article I.

    e. All members accorded the title of Lifetime Member shall assume the same club responsibilities, defined in Article I, as a standard member.

    f. Any Lifetime Member attaining 62 years of age shall assume the same club responsibilities defined for a Senior Member.

                         6. Senior Member

                                                     a. Any member, male or female, 62 years of age or older.

                                                     b. Shall be eligible to hold office.

                                                     c. Is entitled to vote at all general membership meetings

  •          d. Shall assume club responsibilities defined by Standing Rules   except participation in mandatory work parties is optional.
  • Section C. Annual Membership Dues:

    Membership Type Dues

    1. Standard $35.00

    2. Family $45.00

    3. Social $75.00

    4. Junior $25.00

    5. Life time Exempt

    6. Senior $35.00

    Section D. Payment of Dues

    Members will be notified in writing 30 days prior to the expiration for their dues.

    Failure to renew membership will automatically result in loss of membership. Reinstatement will require payment of the full annual dues, plus $10.00 documentation fee.

    Article II. Meetings:

    Section A. Dates of Meetings:

    Regular general membership meetings of the club will be held on the third Sunday of each month as determined by the membership during a regular meeting.

    Board of Directors meetings shall be held as necessary to maintain normal club functions.

    Emergency meetings shall be called in accordance with Constitution, Article IV, Section C, and Line 2.

    Section B. Time of Meetings:

    The general membership meetings will begin promptly at 7:00 P.M..

    The Board of Directors meeting shall be at a time suitable for all members of the board, with meeting place and time designated a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

    Article III. Elections:

    Section A: Elections to the Board of Directors shall be conducted as stated in the Constitution, Article III, Section B., At General Membership meetings as described in the Constitution, Article IV, Section B, 1a.

    Article IV. Titles and Duties of Officers:

    Section A. Titles:

    President

    Vice-President

    Secretary/Treasurer

    Range Captain

    Registration Officer

    Concession Officer

    Auditors

    Section B. Duties of Officers:

    President:

    a. Presides at all Board and General Meetings.

    b. Calls special meetings at his/her discretion, subject to the limitations per Constitution, Article IV, and Section C.

    c. Makes provisions for the discharge of pro-tem of necessary duties of absent, suspended or terminated members.

    d. Ensures that regulations of the club are enforced.

    e. Carries out assignments and instructions as accorded by vote of the club and/or Board of Directors.

    f. Perform such other duties as customarily pertain to the office of President of the Board.

    g. Appoint all committees otherwise provided for with the approval of the majority of the Board members.

    h. Co-sign all warrants on the Treasury of the Club, with the approval of the majority of the remaining Board members, with the following exceptions:

    (1). Routine operating expenses.

    (2). An emergency allocation,

    (a). Neither exception shall exceed $150.00 (one hundred fifty dollars):

    2. Vice-president:

    Shall be an aid to the President of the Board and in case of the absence or disability of the President shall pro-tem assume and execute the duties of the President of the Board.

     

    3. Secretary/Treasurer:

    a. Shall be elected by the general membership.

    b. Shall be responsible for all records and correspondence.

    c. Issue notices of meetings and agenda after consultation with the President and in conformance with these Bylaws.

    d. Shall pay all routine expenses to maintain club functioning.

    e. Shall submit for review a financial statement reflecting income and expenses of the club; said statement shall be submitted bi-monthly and as directed by the Board of Directors.

    f. Shall provide support for an annual audit which will be performed by an auditor or auditors as selected by the Board of Directors.

    4. Range Captain:

              a. Shall schedule work parties at his/her discretion.

    b. Shall insure that all persons belonging to the club are notified of work days at least two weeks in advance.

    c. Shall insure that the range is kept clean and in compliance with affiliated Archery Association Specifications.

    d. Shall insure that targets are purchased in advance of a shoot and are at the range on shoot day, prior to opening of registration.

    e. Shall have the authority to designate members to assist him/her in the performance of his/her duties as Range Captain; he/she will also appoint a special assistant from one of the members-at-large to assist him/her in the performance of the responsibilities of said office for the duration of his/her term of office.

    5. Registration Officer:

    a. Shall be appointed by the Board of Directors

    b. Will have the authority to designate as many assistants as deemed necessary for the discharge of the duties of his/her office

    c. Shall register all shooters at all club shoots.

                                  d. Shall receive and record all pre-registration entries            whenever applicable.                          

                                  e. Shall turn over all monies received for registration                   to the Treasurer at the end of each shoot.

                                  f. Shall conduct any further duties as stipulated in the standing   rules.

    6. Concession Officer:

    a. Shall be appointed by Board of Directors

    b. Will have authority to designate as many assistants as he/she deems necessary for the discharge of the duties of the office.

    c. Shall be responsible for having concessions available at club shoots.

    d. Shall procure provisions and insure proper operation of concession facilities.

    e. Shall conduct any further duties as stipulated in the standing rules

    7. Auditors:

    a. Shall be appointed by the Board of Directors.

    b. Shall conduct a full audit of club assets at least once a year or when otherwise deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.

    Section C. Duties of the Board of Directors shall be:

    To examine the qualification off all applicants for membership.

    Prepare and submit a yearly shoot schedule to the President no later then November’s meeting..

    To appoint committees outside the Board of Directors.

    Other specific duties may be assigned as the occasion warrants, at the discretion of the Board of Directors and/or the President of the Board.

    Article V. Guest Privileges:

    Section A: Members may bring guests for the use of the practice range during non competition events at their discretion.

     

    Section B: Guests by themselves are allowed the use of the Practice range, Dot range, and 3-D range

    On competition days provided they pay the appropriate non-member fee.

    Article VI. Order of Business:

    Call to order.

    Roll call.

    Reading of previous minutes and approval.

    Treasurer’s Report.

    a. Payment of bills.

    Committee Reports.

    Special orders.

    Unfinished business and general orders.

    New business.

    Adjournment.

    Article VII. Termination and suspension of membership:

    Section A. The Board of Directors may suspend or terminate a membership for the following reasons:

    Cheating:

    a. Instances of cheating witnessed by at least two (2) club members.

    Disorderly conduct:

    b. May be defined as intoxication, fighting, destruction of personal or club property, or other excessive annoyance to the club as to seriously interfere with another’s shooting or general well-being.

    Stealing:

    c. Acts of theft of club or personal property that can be established with reasonable certainty.

    d. Theft will be prosecuted.

    Non-payment of dues per Article I Section D and Article VII Section E., Bylaws.

    Abuse of guest privileges per Article V., Bylaws.

    Use of club property for personal use without permission from club members.

    Section B. Cause for termination or suspension shall be presented by those parties concerned to the Board of Directors, who will take appropriate action at the next regular Board meeting. A majority vote of the Board of Directors shall be required for any punitive action to be taken

    Section C. A Member shall have all of his/her club privileges revoked for the duration of his/her suspension.

    Section D. Reinstatement:

    A member who has been suspended or terminated for any reason may, at any time after his/her suspension/termination, apply for reinstatement. If the cause of termination/suspension has been removed, said member may be reinstated upon a majority vote at any regular Board meeting.

    After two (2) denials for reinstatement, no further application may be submitted per individual for a period of one (1) year.

    Section E. Non payment of Dues

    1. Secretary shall issue a notification of dues expiration to the club member

    2. Non payment of dues within a reasonable period after receipt of dues expiration notification shall result in a revocation of all club membership privileges.

    3. Reasonable period is defined as 30 calendar days or whatever time period the member and secretary agree to that does not exceed 90 calendar days after issuance of the dues expiration notification.

     

    Article VIII. Amendments:

    Section A. These bylaws may be amended at any regular business meeting of the general membership or at a special meeting called by the Board of Directors specifically for this purpose. A majority of those present and voting is required for passage, provided that written or printed notice of the proposed amendment has been given to all members at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting.

    Article IX. Standing Rules – Basic Principles:

    Section A. Regulations that deal with the details of business procedure and that are adopted from time to time as they are needed are called Standing Rules. They may be adopted, suspended, amended, or rescinded at any regular business meeting of the Board of Directors by a Majority vote. No Standing Rule may be adopted if it conflicts with another rule previously adopted or with the Constitution or Bylaws. Standing Rules shall be numbered, dated, signed by the President of the Board and conspicuously posted for membership reference.

    Article X. Parliamentary Authority:

    Section A. All questions of parliamentary procedure not covered by these Bylaws shall BE seceded according to the latest edition of Funk and Wagnall’s Book of Parliamentary Procedures, (Bridged).
